🛠️ What you’ll do

As our new Senior Business Development Manager North America, you’ll report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer. Your mission? To actively drive our growth in the North American region by discovering, qualifying, and engaging promising new customers for SonoSuite. You’ll uncover exciting business opportunities and turn leads into long-term partners, playing a key role in expanding our presence in strategic markets.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to company growth by generating and signing new business to the Sonosuite roster, with targeted outreach, leveraging your excellent network and through research.
  • Working alongside key internal stakeholders and CCO to develop a strategic growth plan for the region.
  • Leading high-level discovery and sales meetings, identifying client needs, and proposing tailored solutions.
  • Present opportunities to the internal team and coordinate with CCO to validate deal offers that align with Sonosuite’s commercial strategy and regional expansion targets.
  • Managing contract negotiation and onboarding processes.
  • Contributing to team sales targets through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Leveraging internal tools, such as CRM, whilst maintaining clear documentation of all interactions.
  • Participating in industry events and conferences when needed. Some travel is required.
  • Build strong relationships with key regional industry players

You’ll also support with:

  • Market research and competitor analysis to help refine our positioning.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by mentoring others and sharing expertise.
  • Maintaining internal documentation: sales templates, competitive landscape, proposals, and more.
  • Exploring new opportunities with partners and technologies that support business growth.

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

  • 5-8 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, in the music industry.
  • Solid knowledge of the music industry — especially digital distribution and rights management.
  • Bring a strong network within the music or tech industry.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own pipeline.
  • Fluent English speaker.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales workflows.
  • A customer-first mindset and goal-oriented approach.

✨ Bonus points if you:

  • Have experience working with distributors, independent labels or aggregators.
  • Have experience in remote, international teams.
  • Knowledge of additional languages is a plus, especially Spanish or Portuguese.
